BBMC FAQs

Are dogs allowed?

We welcome dogs on the BBMC. As we cross open farmland with grazing animals we ask that they are kept under control at all times and do not impede other walkers on the event.

I ordered a T-shirt when do I receive it?

T-Shirts and others items ordered are available for collection on the day of the event. At the end of the event they are available to collect.

Can I enter and Fundraise for another Charity on your event?

A lot of time and effort is put into organising the BBMC to further the aims of our Charity. We would prefer participants to not fundraise for other charities on our event. If you wish to support other charities it might be worth speaking with them first as they may run similar events that you can also take part in.

Will food and drink be available along the route?

The BBMC is a self supported event, you will need to carry everything with you for the day. We will use our best efforts to make water available at all road checkpoints but we recommend you carry sufficient water and food for your route. The water is transported to the road checkpoints so it is limited.

Will the route be Marked?

The BBMC is a self supported event, you will need to be able to Map Read and Navigate along the route. We will supply a list of the checkpoints and Maps / GPS files ahead of time but due to changing footpath and differences between what is actually of the ground we cannot garantee the accurancy. We MAY mark certain sections with signs where a mistake could lead to a large error.

Can I transfer my place to someone else?

Places can be cancelled upto 3 weeks before the event (20th April) with a refund, minus administration processing costs. After this time we can no longer offer refunds as set out in our terms and conditions when registering.

I have tried to book and the event is full, do you have a waiting list?

We are not operating a waiting list as we have very few cancellations. If we have any places these will be advertised at the end of April

Can I sell my entry as I can no longer attend?

Sadly we are unable to transfer places as it invalidates our insurance so if you buy an entry from someone else it will not be valid. If you can no longer attend please return to your original email booking and request a cancellation and refund so they can be re-sold upto 3 weeks before the event (20th April).

What is your cancellation policy if the event cannot be held?

By entering BBMC 2024 you are making a donation to Longtown Mountain Rescue Team, Charity no 518928/1200854. In the case that Local or National Government restrictions do not allow us to hold a physical event we reserve the right to transfer the event to a Virtual online event on the same date. In this case all entries will be transferred to the virtual event and no refunds will be applicable. You will be asked to accept these terms and conditions at entry.
