Members of the team will be out and about in November doing street collections. This is an opportunity not only to raise vital funds for the team but also to meet the public and answer questions about what we do. We will be in Abergavenny on 22nd November and in Hereford on 29th November. If you see our vehicle and lots of red coats come and say hello.
Well that’s it, BBMC is over for another year. The team would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that entered. Over 800 of you were able to join us on the hill this year and yet again we were blessed with fantastic weather (don’t expect this every year!). We look forward to hopefully seeing many of you again next year for what will be a special year for both the event and the team. Next year will be the 30th Big Black Mountains Challenge and also the 50th anniversary of Longtown Mountain Rescue Team being established. We hope you can make it for this special event. Further details of BBMC 2015 and other celebratory events will be posted on the News page and via Twitter (@longtownmrt).
