Alan Hinkes in the Black Mountains

Mountaineer Alan Hinkes and Protrek are undertaking a record attempt on all the highest points in the old English shire counties.  The attempt started Saturday 28th August and will take between seven to eight days.

Monies raised during the event will be donated to MR England and Wales.

Yesterday evening, Alan reached the Black Mountains.  He was met by James Moverley, a long standing Team member and accomplished climber, who joined him on his ascent of the highest peak in Herefordshire.

James is hoping to catch up with Alan this evening to join him on his ascent of Kinder Scout in the Peak District.

Those wishing to follow Alan’s progress can visit the web site http://www.pro-trek.co.uk/the-record-attempt/os-maps-with-walks or find more information on his Face Book page.

Good Luck Alan.
