BBMC is the teams biggest fundraising event of the year and goes a long way towards raising the £25,000 – £30,000 needed each year to run the team. The team are also currently raising funds to purchase a new incident control vehicle. We are therefore very grateful to everyone who pays to enter. If however you feel you can raise further donations for the team that would be brilliant. There are a few ways to do this:
1. you can download a sponsorship form from the BBMC page
2. you and your friends and family can make a £10 donation by text. Simply text BBMC16 £10 to 70070 to donate to Longtown Mountain Rescue and make a difference today. JustTextGiving by Vodafone.
3. or, finally you can set up your own Big Black Mountain Challenge 2016 fundraising page with JustGiving
We look forward to see you all in May
A new film produced by Mountain Rescue England and Wales shows not only the range of work undertaken by Mountain Rescue but also the commitment of the thousands of volunteer team members that provide this invaluable service

Members of the team will be out and about in November doing street collections. This is an opportunity not only to raise vital funds for the team but also to meet the public and answer questions about what we do. We will be in Abergavenny on 22nd November and in Hereford on 29th November. If you see our vehicle and lots of red coats come and say hello.
