What is Gift Aid?

The Inland Revenue have a simple system which enables charities to gain additional tax relief on contributions made by individuals.

How can my donation assist the  Longtown Mountain Rescue Team, without costing me any more money?

Provided you pay an annual amount of income tax or capital gains tax equal to the tax that we claim on your donation then the Longtown Mountain Rescue Team can claim funds directly from the Inland Revenue. 

 A £1 donation would result in a total of £1.28 being  received by the team.
